Portable Stand for Drywall Hawks Invented by InventHelp Inventor (SUU-405)
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) October 12, 2017 -- Inventors from Gillespie, Ill., have developed the HAWK BUDDY, a portable stand for supporting a hawk, of the type used when applying joint compound and plaster. A prototype is available.
"We were inspired to invent this because of personal experience. Every time we would set down a drywall hawk, the joint compound would slide off. In addition, our arms would get tired from holding the hawk," said the inventors. The patent-pending HAWK BUDDY provides a means of supporting a joint compound covered hawk when applying tape to drywall joints. It eliminates the need to juggle a hawk when applying joint compound or possibly plaster. This will, in turn, help prevent spilling joint compound and related issues. It increases the overall level of efficiency and productivity on a job. This stand can be easily transported in a work vehicle and carry around at a jobsite.
The original design was submitted to the St. Louis office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
