Portee Insurance Agency Initiates New Charity Campaign in Maryland to Help Local College Student Fulfill His Mother’s Last Dying Wish
Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- With a new community program in the Maryland area, Portee Insurance Agency has announced a new charity campaign to raise funds to support a local student at Pennsylvania State University who recently lost his mother to a Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor. Ernest was his mother’s, Pauline, sole provider throughout the course of her illness. He desires to fulfill his mother’s last dying wish of sending her body to Nigeria for a proper burial. Portee Insurance Agency is starting this campaign to help Ernest send his mother Home. “Pauline dedicated her life to give her son everything he needed and to put him through school; she was everything to Ernest. He is still at a loss on what to do in terms of moving on, but he knows that this is what she would’ve wanted and we are helping him accomplish it,” said Ralph Portee, the Agency’s principal.
The agency will promote the current campaign over the course of the next 45 days, through its social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through a monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in Maryland, where the agency currently operates.
