Portland based non-profit marketing director acts across from Academy Award winner, Reese Witherspoon, in upcoming film, "Wild."
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) November 30, 2014 -- On December 3rd, Ncompass's marketing director, Will Cuddy, will finally reach his dream of appearing on the big screen nationally, and soon after, around the world. Cuddy started acting on stage at the age of nine and quickly fell in love with performing for others. Landing significant roles through Oregon based Young People's Theatre Project, Cuddy soon became interested in on-camera acting. During his sophomore year at Jesuit High School, he was selected for Discovery Kid's competitive reality television program, "Endurance: Fiji," on which he placed 2nd. Upon his return, he hired an agent and began his on-screen acting career.
Simultaneously, Ncompass was in its early years as a non-profit. The organization focuses on youth development both domestically and internationally and have been partnering with the Maranatha House, an orphanage sheltering 40 boys and girls in Titanyen, Haiti, since 2011. After graduating from Jesuit High School, Cuddy began to study advertising at the University of Oregon and volunteered to create a promotional video for Ncompass. He was then brought on as the non-profit's marketing director and has played a key role in branding Ncompass's newest program, Kidstarter.
While balancing school, his involvement in the University of Oregon's a capella group, On The Rocks, working as an editor at the school's student publication, The Daily Emerald, and his position at Ncompass, Cuddy landed a role on NBC's "Grimm," and eventually was presented the opportunity he had dreamed of. He auditioned for the film adaptation of Cheryl Strayed's New York Time's best selling memoir, "Wild," the week before entering his senior year at UO. Two months later, he was acting across from Academy Award winning actress, Reese Witherspoon. In one week he will be attending the Portland premiere of the film and is ecstatic about the opportunities to come.
Cuddy currently lives in Beaverton, Oregon working as a freelance videographer in addition to his position at Ncompass.
