The ranking, which originated from Movoto's blog, an arm of the company dedicated to tackling the lighter side of real estate, reviewed 15 best-of lists it created in 2013 to determine which cities were the best of the best. Movoto found that these 10 cities were the pinnacle of awesome:

To compile its list, Movoto reviewed 15 rankings it conducted in 2013. The final score for Best Cities in America was a meta-ranking of the original ranks. Movoto’s rankings, which were designed to educate and entertain, looked at the 50 most populous cities in the country and included topics such as The Best Cities for Home Buyers, The Most Exciting Cities in America, and The Most Saintly Cities.
