Portsmouth Based Software Company Radweb Celebrate Turning 8
(PRWEB UK) 30 January 2015 -- This month Portsmouth-based software company 'Radweb' celebrate their 8th birthday. Specialising in eCommerce and web/mobile applications, Radweb began in 2007 when Portsmouth University graduates Steve Rad and James Taylor decided to team up and start a business.
In today’s economic climate when over half of e-startups fail, it is a testament to Radweb’s ability to adapt that they are still going strong. Over the years Radweb has grown into a team of 8 passionate, qualified specialists, all experts in different online services, from designers to programmers to marketing experts.
Steve says “In the early days we were so excited to start our very own business. We knew venturing into IT & web based applications that we'd be in an industry of opportunity.
Creating an agency gave us the ability to work with lots of different industries and sectors. There are so many incredibly creative businesses out there and it’s been a real pleasure helping them with their own ventures and watching them flourish. We love seeing small businesses do amazing things.”
Steve and James both graduated from the University of Portsmouth with degrees in Digital Media Marketing and Computer Science. They began Radweb by creating online shopping experiences and membership websites for small businesses and the company has boomed from there.
James says “For me I've always loved having the freedom to explore the business world and to jump on new opportunities when we encounter them. Every new client we meet has their own take on what technology should be doing for them. This keeps everything we did and continue to do really fresh.”
Radweb has been involved with some of the biggest local success stories in recent years, building eCommerce websites for a wide range of businesses.
Alex Meazzini from Morton Michel said “Working on our online store with the guys at Radweb was a real treat. They explored our industry in such great depth and really got under the skin of who we are and what we wanted to achieve. They really took an interest in getting our business off the ground and generating growth. I can see why they've stood the test of time.”
Perhaps the most successful venture the company has undertaken is creating their very own property inventory & inspection software “InventoryBase.” Launched in 2012 this software has quickly become one of the best known systems in the industry, and is currently expanding across International waters for the first time starting with the recent launch in the United States and Canada.
InventoryBase was designed to make creating, recalling and comparing property inventories on the move effortless. A complete solution, the software allows the user to create detailed property check in, check out and inspection reports including photos and remedial actions, in seconds. It also provides a booking system for clients and estate agents, assigns tasks to team members and produces reports that are fully customisable to include logos and any specific legal information.
Steve Continued “Celebrating the 8th birthday of the company feels amazing. We've got so much planned for the next few years I think they’re going to fly by in much the same way! It’s a really great feeling to still love coming into work everyday - here’s to the next 8 years!”
