PowerSchool Independent Software Vendor Program Tops 100 Education Technology Partners
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 19, 2014 -- Today Pearson announced that more than 100 education technology companies have joined its independent software vendors (ISV) program. Through the ISV program, Pearson and its partners collaborate with the K-12 education community to simplify school administration and accelerate student learning. As a result of these ISV partnerships, Pearson’s PowerSchool, the most widely used web-based student information system (SIS), integrates with software for activities such as special education; online registration data analytics; health and immunization management; college and career planning; cafeteria and transportation management; and parental and student engagement.
The PowerSchool ISV Partner program promotes the delivery of comprehensive solutions that support the everyday student data management requirements of a classroom, school, district or state. Eligible partners must offer critical, efficient solutions that maximize PowerSchool’s support of teaching and learning. In support of its ISV program, Pearson makes a deep investment of support for the partner companies as they integrate their solutions with PowerSchool as well resources to help share their stories with school districts nationwide. With application programming interface (API) tools provided by Pearson, PowerSchool can easily be integrated with many software applications to create cost-effective and efficient approaches for school districts.

For example, SchoolMessenger, a long time PowerSchool ISV partner, is the notification service used by more than 700 PowerSchool districts representing over three million shared students - more than any other notification provider. SchoolMessenger allows school districts to easily select and reach targeted groups of parents and staff without ever leaving their PowerSchool environment.

As a result of this ISV partnership, PowerSchool will connect with Parchment to ensure that transcripts follow students when transferring schools or applying for college.
