Praecipio Consulting Joins the Pledge 1% Movement
Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 18, 2016 -- Officially announced at this year's Atlassian Summit in San Francisco, CA, Praecipio Consulting joins the Pledge 1% movement, donating 1% of time, equity, and profit to non-profit organizations.
Pledge 1%, co-founded by Atlassian co-CEO's Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, encourages companies to be forward-thinking with their philanthropy, donating 1% of their employee time, equity, or profit to worthy causes. In the fall of 2015, Atlassian Platinum Enterprise expert company Praecipio Consulting committed to pledging all three. While Praecipio Consulting has a long history of volunteerism and philanthropy, Pledge 1% allows the company to have a larger scale impact for the greater good.
"We whole-heartedly believe in Atlassian's company value of being the change you seek,” says Praecipio Consulting founder Christian Lane. "Committing to Pledge 1% of our time, profit, and equity is a commitment to creating a better world. We're excited to see how many people we can help with this wide-reaching initiative, and just how big this movement will become!"
Offering paid volunteer time off to employees, the Praecipio Consulting team gives back through work with the non-profit of their choice. Some of these non-profit organizations include the Boys & Girls Club of Austin, Coastal Conservation Association, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the S.T.E.M. program for the Columbus, OH school district.
"Initiatives like Pledge 1% are what set Praecipio Consulting and Atlassian apart from the pack; it really shows in our culture and mission." says consultant, Kartik Malhotra. "I'm incredibly proud to work at a company that enables employees to spend paid volunteer time on causes that are close to our hearts."
Within the next year, as Praecipio Consulting exceeds record company growth, the organization looks forward to bringing new team members aboard the Pledge 1% movement and seeing it continue to grow and effect change.
