Prater Industries Appoints Pete Hinzy as Vice President and General Manager
Bolingbrook, IL (PRWEB) January 08, 2015 -- Prater Industries, a manufacturer of particle solutions including airlocks, mills and separators, is pleased to welcome Pete Hinzy as the new Vice President and General Manager. In this role, Hinzy will provide a corporate vision, an operational strategy and lean manufacturing leadership allowing Prater Industries to remain competitive in the global marketplace. He brings more than 20 years of hand-on management experience focused on continually improving operations.

Most recently, Hinzy served as Director of Continuous Improvement for BWAY Corporation, an enterprise with global sales exceeding $1 billion, offering packaging solutions for large manufacturers, container distributors and small businesses. His responsibilities for BWAY included developing an Operational Excellence program based upon Lean Manufacturing fundamentals, Six Sigma and World Class Manufacturing practices throughout the organization’s 29 plants, as well as merging acquisitions into the BWAY system. His achievements include leading and participating in multiple lean transformations throughout the many plants he has managed.
Hinzy holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indiana Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in the field of Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is a member of AME and SME professional engineering organizations and has Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
