PRB Becomes Charter Member of Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI)
Encinitas, CA (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Paul Redvers Brown Inc. has become a charter member of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) based in Washington, DC. ISI was established by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Public Works Association (APWA), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to develop and maintain a sustainability rating system for civil infrastructure in the United States.
Paul Brown is a proponent of innovative approaches to rethinking the way in which urban infrastructure is integrated into natural systems. “A tremendous amount of attention has been paid to the sustainable design of buildings. There is an equally urgent need to apply sustainable systems thinking to our horizontal infrastructure,” said Brown.
Brown concluded, “As a charter member of ISI, we hope to both learn from and contribute to the success of our clients and colleagues in creating more resilient and sustainable infrastructure solutions for the future.”
Paul Redvers Brown Inc. focuses on stakeholder-driven approaches to integrated resource planning and program management – discovering new ways that community dialogue, innovative technologies, and systems thinking can result in collaborative and implementable solutions.
