Press Conference For First Live Boxing Broadcast in CBS Sports History To Take Place on Thursday, February 12th at Resorts World Casino in New York City
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 12, 2015 -- CBS Sports will broadcast a live boxing event on Saturday, February 14th, marking the first time in the history of the network that such an event will take place. The press conference for “Championship Title Boxing” will be held at Resorts World Casino in New York City today, February 12th, at 1:00pm EST.
The main event will be Perennial Heavyweight contender Derric Rossy (29-9, 14 KO’s) fighting undefeated Akhror Muralimov (16-0, 13 KOs) in a 10-round bout for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) North American Heavyweight Title. In a co-main event, the popular and undefeated “Subway” Mike Lee (13-0, & KO’s) will fight Gary Tapusoa (6-3-1, 5 KO’s) in a 6-round bout for the United Boxing Federation’s (UBF) All America’s Title.
After Lee’s fight for the prestigious title, he will go on to announce the Rossy and Muralimov fight. This is a historical moment, as it will be the first time a boxer has ever gone on to become a ringside announcer after competing in the same event.
On February 9th, Derric Rossy stopped by Power 105.1 FM, The Breakfast Club, a top syndicated morning radio show in NYC. Watch DJ Envy and Angela Yee interview Rossy, about his career and upcoming fight with Muralimov this weekend. http://www.power1051fm.com/media/play/derric-rossy-interview-with-the-breakfast-25799586/
