Prestige Wealth Solutions Sponsors the 2014 Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC) is a series of fun business networking events which aim to put the ‘corporate’ back into corporate golf. Sponsored by Prestige Wealth Solutions (PWS), the Dubai-based firm of independent financial advisers, the Challenge takes place over several months throughout the Middle East and South Africa. The amateur two-ball teams will compete to earn a place at the Grand Final in Ras Al Khaimah.
Sport and charity a perfect fit for PWS
This event is now in its 16th year and proving more popular than ever – which is great news for headline sponsor, PWS, as Managing Director, Craig McConnon, explains:
“We were looking for different opportunities to network and create new contacts – and perhaps what better way is there than through corporate golf. The fact that the event combines sport while supporting charity means it fits in perfectly with our current business model,” he said.
As part of its remit the XCGC is raising funds and awareness for Noor Dubai, the initiative launched in 2008 to combat preventable forms of blindness.
“We already have strong ties to other sporting interests, such as rugby – PWS is the new sponsor of the Dubai Hurricanes Rugby Football Club,” said Craig, adding: “and we’ve just launched our Corporate Social Responsibility campaign supporting WeCare.”
WeCare is a newly formed Non-Governmental Organisation set up to take on individual projects in impoverished areas. The first of these projects is in Nairobi, Kenya, where WeCare is raising money to build an orphanage and education centre in the semi-slum area of Kahawa West. PWS will be supporting this venture through fund raising initiatives.
