Prevent Blindness Northern California and StarVista Promote Adult Vision Health at the 2016 Day of Vision Health Fair
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 16, 2015 -- Prevent Blindness Northern California will partner with StarVista, a San Mateo County based non-profit that delivers high impact services through counseling, skill development, and crisis prevention to provide 200 free adult vision health screenings on Saturday, January 23 at the Day of Vision Health Fair in Redwood City, CA. The focus of the partnership will be on serving adults that do not have health insurance or vision care.
“It is often difficult for those without insurance to receive regular eye exams,” said Seth Schalet, CEO of Prevent Blindness Northern California. “StarVista is a wonderful organization and a tremendous resource for San Mateo County. We are thrilled to be able to offer their clients the opportunity to receive these services and thank our partner, Genentech, for making this grant available.”

Prevent Blindness Northern California will bring the See Well to Learn Eye Bus to the Day of Vison Heath 2016 event to promote the program’s launch in San Mateo County. See Well to Learn is PBNC’s flagship program providing free exams using state of the art autorefactive technology, mobile pediatric optometry services, free eye glass and parent/child consultation to underserved preschoolers in over 200 schools throughout the Bay Area.
