Prevently.com Launches Digital Practice Solution for Physicians Nationwide

This new digital wellness platform is launching a new digital practice solution in May 2014 which will enable physicians nationwide to bring their practice into the age of digital healthcare and interact with their patients virtually.
Prevently’s digital practice solution enables physicians to prevent and manage chronic diseases by monitoring the lifestyle of patients remotely with wearable fitness devices and conducting telemedicine sessions via HIPAA compliant video chat. Physicians can invite their patients to their digital practice by simply entering a list of patient email addresses. The patient is then invited to create an account on Prevently.com which gives them access to their personal health record. The Prevently.com personal health record enables the patient to view all of their data from wearable fitness devices and apps in one centralized location. For example, a patient can wear a FitBit bracelet to upload their sleep and exercise data in real-time using bluetooth wireless connectivity to their iPhone throughout the day. In addition, the patient can set up a wireless bathroom scale which uploads weight data to their personal health record seamlessly. iPhone-compatible wireless blood pressure cuffs and glucometers also sync with Prevently’s personal health record.
Prevently’s iPhone app (which is available for download in the Apple App Store) enables the patient to take pictures of their meals to create a visual food diary within their Prevently.com personal health record. This lifestyle data is then available to the physician at any time through the Prevently.com portal. In addition, physicians can customize settings for each patient which affect how often and under what conditions the physician receives an alert about unhealthy habits of the patient.
The Prevently digital practice solution also enables healthcare providers to perform eVisits with their patients using VSee (strategic partner of Prevently) which is a HIPAA compliant FDA registered desktop and mobile application that enables physicians to review a patient’s Prevently.com personal health record in real time using screen-sharing and white board tools during a telemedicine session. VSee is designed specifically for healthcare which integrates seamlessly with the Prevently.com personal health record. For example, physicians can use VSee’s white board tools to circle days within Prevently’s personal health record where the patient did not exercise enough in red, and days where the patient did exercise enough in green. This enables physicians to perform telemedicine sessions in real time with high-definition video chat and interactivity. VSee also includes a virtual waiting room with call queuing – allowing the doctor and his/her receptionist to manage both scheduled and walk-in patients. The waiting room also includes integrated calendaring for managing appointments.
