Grapevine, TX (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- Frog Street, a leading provider of educational curriculum designed to enlighten and enrich the minds of children from ages one to five, announced today that it will partner with Prince George’s County (Maryland) Public Schools to provide a pre-kindergarten curriculum for both the school district’s regular education and special needs classrooms. “Frog Street exists to enrich the lives of young learners and we are thrilled to partner with such a distinguished school district,” said Ron Chase, CEO of Frog Street. “We applaud Prince George’s commitment to their early childhood program, and we are committed to supporting the district and its teachers in the implementation of Frog Street Pre-K.”
One of the 25 largest school districts in the country, Prince George’s County School District will implement the nationally acclaimed Frog Street Pre-K program in over 300 classrooms this Fall.
This research based pre-K program integrates intentional instruction across developmental domains and early learning disciplines. Frog Street Pre-K is written by senior author and acclaimed early education expert, Dr. Pam Schiller, Ph.D., and includes contributions from, Dr. Alma Flor Ada, Dr. F. Isabel Campoy, Brian Mowry, Dr. Becky Bailey and many other early childhood experts. The curriculum is designed to nurture the four key developmental domains: language, cognitive, social/emotional, and physical. The instructional strategies are designed to make every step of the learning process cohesive. Based on modern research, the program is uniquely built to nurture brain development in young learners by integrating thematic, intentional activities in all the developmental domains.
Frog Street Pre-K is being widely adopted throughout the nation in school districts, HeadStarts, and child care centers, including 47 percent of the Pre-K market in Texas. Frog Street is currently expanding its presence with its new 18-36 month old program designed for toddlers and developmentally equivalent special needs students.
Chase added, “Our focus at Frog Street is to ignite the cognitive, social and emotional development of children during these first critical years of their lives. Brain research shows that the brain is 90 percent wired by the age of four. Investment in early childhood education is essential. It’s our passion and we are thankful to be able to do what we do.”
