Principals to Conduct Service Projects at Long Beach and Compton Elementary Schools
Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- Elementary and middle-level principals from around the nation will come together on Mon., June 29, to volunteer at school service projects during the National Association of Elementary School Principals’ (NAESP) seventh annual Community Service Day. The project is part of NAESP’s 2015 Best Practices for Better Schools Annual Conference & Exposition, which is being held June 30-July 2 at the Long Beach Convention Center. The project is sponsored by NAESP and playground equipment manufacturer and corporate partner Landscape Structures.
What: K-8 principals from around the nation will help to build an inclusive playground at Long Beach’s James A. Garfield Elementary School. Simultaneously, principals will complete a beautification project at Compton’s Charles W. Bursch Elementary School.
Where: The service projects will take place at:
• James A. Garfield Elementary School, 2240 Baltic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90810
• Charles W. Bursch Elementary School, 2505 W. 156th Street, Compton, CA 90220
When: Mon. June 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at both schools.
