Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- Priority Energy is pleased to announce their second year as continuing education providers for the Building Science Training Series (BSTS) sponsored by Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA). The courses, funded in part by an ILDCEO grant, will be available at reduced fees to help residential contractors and energy auditors stay up-to-date on industry best-practices and fulfill their continuing education (CEUs) requirements for professional development. The first session will begin this December.
Each year, MEEA selects experts in the industry to provide training for the program. As BPI and RESNET trainers and certified energy efficiency contractors, Priority Energy will bring real-world scenarios, hands-on training and IECC expertise to all their classes. “We are proud to be training for the BSTS program; it is a great opportunity for contractors to gain knowledge from each other and save money on CEU classes,” said Robert Schildgen, Priority Energy’s owner and trainer.
Priority Energy will offer two courses: Using Energy Modeling Software to Calculate Savings and Ventilation Requirements for Better Indoor Air Quality. Both of these sessions will be available this December, as well as in the spring. The program will end on May 31, 2015.
Course fees, which would normally range from $100 - $200 a session will be reduced to $20 - $50 a session as part of the BSTS series, thanks to the ILDCEO grant which will offset part of the fees.
