Priority Energy Partners with Albany Park Community Center in Chicago to Provide BPI Energy Auditor Training for Unemployed Residents
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Priority Energy, the leading Chicago-area energy efficiency solutions and training company, has partnered with Albany Park Community Center (APCC) to provide job training to unemployed or under-employed Albany Park residents. Qualified individuals will be able to attend Priority Energy's BPI certification training program at no charge. Students will develop in-demand, marketable skills and be able to enter the growing energy efficiency industry.
"We want to help the APCC students succeed," says Robert Schildgen, owner of Priority Energy, "with our new on-site training lab we are able to give students extra hands-on training and equipment practice to build their confidence level, which we have seen, can make all the difference to their success." Once certified, these people will be eligible to work with utility companies, HVAC contractors, builders, insulators or as independent auditors.
BPI, the Building Performance Institute, is one of the most nationally recognized energy auditing standards development and credentialing organizations in the country. As the authority in the industry, they have set procedural standards by which all BPI certified auditors are trained and must follow. This quality-assured designation will make these students very marketable to employers.
APCC is currently recruiting participants for this Illinois DCEO and Urban Weatherization initiative. The training sessions include interactive classroom study, a BPI online exam, field practice and a BPI field exam . All training is being taught by Priority Energy's certified instructors and held at their new office in Park Ridge, IL.
