Prism Career Institute to Launch Practical Nursing Program At Egg Harbor Township Campus

Egg Harbor Township, NJ (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- Prism Career Institute will launch a Practical Nursing program at its Egg Harbor Township campus, located in the Bayport One Building, 8025 Black Horse Pike in West Atlantic City, N.J. The Egg Harbor location also offers programs in Medical Assisting and Nurse Aide (CNA).

Employment of Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurses is projected to grow 25 percent through 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. More than 180,000 jobs will be added by 2022, as compared to statistics in 2012.

The Practical Nursing program is designed for individuals seeking a career where they can apply their sympathetic, caring nature, with an opportunity to provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support and other personal care to patients, the nursing field continues to grow.

Graduates of the Prism Career Institute Practical Nursing program will possess the skills to provide direct care for the sick, injured and disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses.

The median annual wage for Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurses was $41,540 in May 2012, with the lowest 10 percent earning less than $30,970, and the top 10 percent earning more than $57,360, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
