Cambridge, MA and Singapore (PRWEB) April 02, 2016 -- The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore, have joined forces to offer an executive education program for senior-level education officials and leaders of foundations and non-governmental organizations. This program will serve as a retreat and collaborative space for senior-level leaders to exchange a wealth of ideas, with input from Harvard and NIE faculty, for continuous improvement of large education systems.
Applications are now being accepted for Leading Education Systems Towards Relevance and Deeper Learning in the 21st Century, a new professional education program designed for advanced leaders to strengthen their impact on education policy and practice around the world. Participants will engage in dialogue, informed by researchers from HGSE and NIE, about continuous improvement in education with the goal of achieving better outcomes for all children. This advanced multi-national education leadership program provides a platform for participants to refine their approaches to leading education systems in the 21st century.
Participants in this unique program convene in both Cambridge (August 1-4) and Singapore (October 3-6) for two four-day sessions. They will also engage in two week-long online sessions to prepare for their campus visits. Through case discussions, workshops, small-group discussion, and school site visits, participants will come away with a deeper understanding of the key drivers for improving quality and access in education and redefining educational quality in this context.
Leading Education Systems Towards Relevance and Deeper Learning in the 21st Century is co-chaired by Fernando M. Reimers (HGSE), the Ford Foundation Professor of International Education and director of the International Education Policy Program at Harvard University and Christine Goh (NIE), Dean, Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning of Linguistics & Language Education NIE, Singapore.
