Prominent Beverly Hills Spine Surgeon Dr. Todd H. Lanman Honored as Finalist in Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2017 Healthcare Leadership Awards
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (PRWEB) June 01, 2017 -- Recognizing his more than two decades of innovation within the world of medicine, primarily that of the spine specifically, the Los Angeles Business Journal honored Dr. Todd H. Lanman, founder of Beverly Hills-based practice Lanman Spinal Neurosurgery, as one of its select finalists in its 2017 Healthcare Leadership Awards, last week.
As one of the world’s leading spine surgeons, one whom often calls many high profile celebrities and C-suite business executives his clients, Dr. Lanman was recognized in two of the awards program’s most significant categories, including Medical Group CEO and Lifetime Achievement.
The program honors Los Angeles’ most elite medical practitioners and organizations that have made great strides in providing better-quality healthcare and in setting the industry standards, as the program’s description details.
Lanman and his practice exemplify those criteria exceptionally, particularly in the area of innovation. In fact, Lanman acted as the Principal Investigator on the clinical trial of the two-level cervical artificial disc replacement procedure using a Prestige LP, leading to its FDA approval, giving patients an alternative to the motion-limiting fusion surgery, a true medical breakthrough. Just last month, his seven-year study, documenting the “statistical superiority” of the procedure, was published in the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by my peers within my field, especially with regard to my work within artificial disc replacement and motion preservation,” said Lanman.
For more than 25 years, Lanman has been a specialist in the advancement of spinal health and surgery, both within the Greater Los Angeles and Southern California region, as well as internationally. He’s earned top honors, including being named one of the Top Doctors in America. He is often called upon to act as a media educator and contributor in print and on television, and has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles, in addition to authoring book chapters and presenting more than two dozen papers at national and regional medical society conferences. He has also remained an assistant clinical professor at UCLA for the past 20 years.
Lanman Spinal Neurosurgery is affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Institute for Spinal Disorders, UCLA Medical Center and Saint John’s Medical Center
