Propaganda3 Announces Major Changes to Firm's Executive Team
Kansas City, Missouri (PRWEB) November 11, 2015 -- As a response to continued growth and new business demand, 15-year-old digital production studio Propaganda3 (http://propaganda3.com) has named industry veteran Julia Hitman King as its new President. King, whose collective tenure at Propaganda3 spans nearly half of the company’s history, previously served as the studio’s Director of Strategy and Planning. She is assuming responsibilities previously held by Propaganda3 founder Marcelo “Cello” Vergara, who will continue as CEO. He will focus even further on new business development and additional ancillary business ventures, including the children’s entertainment-based startup Kid Rocket Studios (http://kidrocketstudios.com).
“Julia has proven to be an invaluable asset to Propaganda3 over many years,” says Vergara. “Her depth and breadth of experience in this industry is strong, from her roots in traditional advertising and consumer research to her command of today’s ever-evolving landscape of digital marketing and production. I’m convinced that the future of the firm couldn’t be in better hands.”
The last 24 months have been a period of continued growth for Propaganda3, including the expansion of its technical team via partnerships with a select set of on- and offshore developers and additions to its creative team following the hire of two new full-time designers.
“We’ve been called on by our ad agency clients to do everything from the expected to the impossible when it comes to technical development,” says King. “We are happy to find ourselves also being approached by technical development firms thanks to our planning, user experience and design expertise.”
In addition, Propaganda’s Director of Client Service, Deanne Belshe, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and is now charged with the further evolution and refinement of the processes and tools that the studio has operated under for many years.
“Deanne has never been content with the status quo,” says Vergara. “The complexity of our work and the speed-to-market that is often required means we need someone leading the way, examining every detail and looking for improved efficiencies while maintaining the exacting quality we and our clients have always demanded.”
Propaganda3 was part of the local, regional and national ADDY award-winning digital efforts for Kansas City’s 2014 and 2015 Boulevardia festivals. Over the last two years, Propaganda3 has also earned two FWA nods for its independent game development efforts for “Kung Fu Robot” and “Burn the Lot” and four IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards for their mobile event app work for Boulevardia, Kansas City Irish Fest, and the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve done, the lasting relationships we’ve created with our clients, and the accolades we’ve earned these past 15 years,” says Vergara. “That said, I’m even prouder of the team we’ve assembled and the culture around craft we’ve created. To me, that speaks volumes about what the future holds for Propaganda3.”
