As an educational tool, Grigsby tells ProPatterns that Exposed is not only valuable to novice anglers, but also pro anglers alike. In his interview with ProPatterns, he reminds the novice angler of several important tips. “Cast accuracy, bate sensitivity, feel and practice” often get overlooked, even by some pros he's watched. Grigsby recommends holding the pole lightly with direct line contact, with a finger above the reel, directly on the line. These tips likely led to a big win for Grigsby at Harris Chain in 2011, where at a critical moment on day two he coaxed in a ten pounder that was only hooked a fraction of an inch from the lip. This big win ended an eleven-year dry spell during which Grigsby had to ask himself, “Do I still have it?”
