Prospero Foundation Supports a Coconut Farmer in the Philippines
Antibes, France (PRWEB) July 13, 2015 -- The Prospero Foundation, founded by Ulrik DeBo of DeBondo Capital, is excited to announce that a microloan donation has been made to Aida, who grows coconut trees in Calamba-Sepac in The Philippines.
Aida is 45 years old and married with two adult-age children. She has been engaged in coconut farming with her husband for five years in Sepac, Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occiental, where the whole family live together, supported by this business. She plans to purchase fertilizer for the coconut trees to encourage growth and production, using the potential profit she gains for savings, retirement, and to support their daily cost of living.
Whilst this is a small venture in the grand scale of things, Ulrik Debo and The Prospero Foundation often think it’s just as important to support basic human entrepreneurship at grass-roots levels, and want the world to know there are people out there that want to help.
About Micro-lending with The Prospero Foundation
Through partnerships with local lending institutions, the Prospero Foundation contributes capital for the purpose of small business loans to these micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations. Through these partnerships, the Foundation helps small business people such as farmers, shopkeepers, and artisans build their businesses and in turn stimulate economic development in their communities.
