QUIN Candy
QUIN Candy

Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- This Valentine’s Day weekend, lovebirds in search of romantic Pacific Northwest getaways and fun-filled date options need to look no further than Provenance Hotels’ five award-winning, art-filled lifestyle hotels in Seattle and Portland. Hotel 1000, Hotel Lucia and Sentinel are rolling out options that are deliciously tempting – aphrodisiac cocktails, a couple’s candy tasting, artisan-honey-inspired packages and his and hers dinner menus– while Hotel deLuxe and Hotel Max riff on romantic movies and pop culture.

PORTLAND IS FOR FOOD AND FILM LOVERS

Art filled hotels turn up the romance with aphrodisiac cocktails, Audrey Hepburn, QUIN candy maestro Jami Curl, and indulgent getaway packages in Seattle and Portland.

Post this

Sentinel is inviting couples to join QUIN Candy founder Jami Curl at Jackknife on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. for a sweet, uniquely Portland treat: a side-by-side candy tasting featuring QUIN candies and their commercial counterparts. The tasting is priced at $100 per couple and includes candy and bubbly for two, plus, each couple who attends the one hour event will receive a $20 gift card to the QUIN Candy shop. Located a few blocks from Sentinel, it is the perfect post-tasting destination. Reservations can be made at http://www.sentinelhotel.com/valentines-with-quin.

Those who want to make their weekend even sweeter can book Sentinel’s Sweets For Your Sweetheart package that pairs admission to Curl’s candy tasting with luxurious overnight accommodations where guests will find a bottle of iced bubbly and a bouquet of a dozen of QUIN’s signature lollipops. The package is bookable now stays Feb. 13-15, 2015. Priced from $399 per night, plus tax, it can be booked at http://www.sentinelhotel.com/special-offers or by calling 888-246-5631.

Plus, on Valentine’s evening, Jackknife will also be celebrating with a Love to Hate You dance party with DJ Lamar that will feature free photo booth photos from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Hotel Lucia is also embracing the sweeter side of the holiday with a Honey For My Honey package inspired by the hotel’s rooftop honey bee hives that were installed last spring by Portland apiary innovators, Bee Local. Priced from $299 per night, plus tax, the package celebrates the creative ways Imperial’s Vitaly Paley and Doug Adams use Bee Local honey. Upon check in, guests will enjoy two Harlequin cocktails made with Bee Local honey at the Imperial bar. They will also receive $50 credit toward breakfast or brunch at Imperial to sample Adams’ famous fried chicken inspired by his dish on "Top Chef," topped with Paley’s house-aged hot sauce and Bee Local honey – or any of the other tempting menu items. In addition to overnight accommodations the package also includes a three-jar gift pack with 4 oz. each of Bee Local Portland Farmland, Willamette Valley and Oregon Buckwheat honey. The package is available Feb. 12-15, 2015 and can be reserved at http://www.hotellucia.com/special-offers or by calling 866-986-8086.

For film lovers, Hotel deLuxe in Portland is celebrating Valentine’s Day weekend with three Pop Up Cinema screenings of the Audrey Hepburn classic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The 1961 romantic romp featuring Holly Golightly has proven to be the most demanded movie in the history of the hotel’s classic film series. For that reason, Hotel deLuxe will show the film Saturday, Feb. 14 at 4 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 15 at 1 and 4 p.m. in its Screening Room. During the show, guests can order cocktails, popcorn and other movie-friendly snacks from the Driftwood Room. Like all Pop Up Cinema events, the Valentine weekend screenings will be free to the public but seating is limited and, due to popular demand, reservations are required. Seats can be reserved by calling the hotel at 503-219-2094. More details can be found at http://www.hoteldeluxe.com/pop-up-cinema.

Cinephiles can also book Hotel deLuxe’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s overnight package. With rates starting at $209 per night, plus tax, the package includes VIP seating for two during one of the movie screenings, complimentary champagne and popcorn during the film and coffee and donuts the next morning. It requires a two night stay, is bookable now for stays Feb. 13-15, 2015 and can be reserved at http://www.hoteldeluxe.com/special-offers or by calling 866-986-8085.

PASSION, POP AND ROMANCE IN SEATTLE

Hotel Max is giving pop-culture obsessed couples permission to indulge and let their playful side loose with a Pop Lovers package filled with pop art and pop culture. It includes overnight accommodations at Hotel Max where the lobby features the work of Pop masters Warhol, Koons and Baldessari; two tickets to the temple of popular culture, EMP; two tickets to Seattle Art Museum’s exhibition of work by Japanese Pop Art maestro Mister; a $25 gift certificate to Zanadu Comics; and two delectable cocktails at Miller’s Guild at Hotel Max. Priced from $249 per night, plus tax, the package is available now for stays between Feb. 13 and 15, 2015.

For those whose obsessions are a little more adventurous, Hotel Max is also offering the Sweet Surrender package. Priced at $239 over the Valentine Day weekend, it includes overnight accommodations in a guest room equipped with satin rose petals on the bed, a bottle of chilled bubbly, gourmet chocolates from Seattle’s Oh Chocolate, credit for an in-room movie, a 10 ft. satin tie and blindfold, a mini vibrating toy and feather with honey body dust. Both packages can be reserved online at http://www.hotelmaxseattle.com/special-offers or by calling 866-986-8087.

At Hotel 1000, BOKA is bringing back its aphrodisiac BOKA No. 9 cocktail. Created with couples in mind, this love potion is made using a house-made tincture that combines herbs, spices, roots, leaves and berries designed to stimulate and energize the senses. The tincture is paired with local barrel-aged Big Gin, Zirbenz Stone Pine liqueur, Carpano Antica vermouth and a house-made sour made from apple cider, lemon juice and pure cane simple syrup to create a tantalizingly seductive sip. Priced at $18 each, the cocktail is available while supplies last.

BOKA’s Chef Kerri Roach has also crated seven course His and Hers prix fixe menus priced at $75 each for dinner on Valentine’s eve. Couples can order one of each or, if they prefer, double up on the version that looks most tempting. The Hers menu features tuna tartare with a quail egg, celery relish and radish; a beet salad with frisee and truffle vinaigrette; lobster with a brueleed blood orange and vanilla bean nage; Champagne sorbet with basil and dried strawberries; a nutmeg-dusted duck with Butternut squash puree, chestnuts and wild flower honey; Cirrus cheese with a fig newton and candied almonds; and a dark chocolate truffle. His version includes an oyster with pickled watermelon rind; arugula salad with pine nuts, parmesan and black garlic purée; a scallop with fried avocado, serrano ham and chili chutney; Champagne sorbet with basil and dried strawberries; pink peppercorn-crusted filet mignon with celery root, confit shallot and coffee demi-glace; Pt. Reyes blue cheese with fennel shortbread and goji berry; and ghost chili truffle. Champagne will be available by the glass and bottle. Reservations can be made by calling call 206-357-9000.
