Prudential PenFed Realty’s Third Annual Gainesville Family Fun Run
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 -- Prudential PenFed Realty, in partnership with Movement Fitness, is hosting its third annual Gainesville Family Fun Run on October 19, 2013, located at 7669 Limestone Drive, Gainesville, Va. 20155.
This fundraising event is being held to raise money for The PenFed Foundation and The Sunshine Kids. The previous two fundraising events held raised a total of $16,800.
The PenFed Foundation is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization working to meet the unmet needs of the military personnel and their families in the areas of financial literacy, housing and support for the wounded. They work to prevent medical emergencies from turning into financial hardships for our nation's defenders.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. They provide a variety of programs, group activities, trips, and events to children who are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America.
“We are so excited to be sponsoring this event to help our military heroes through the PenFed Foundation and children with cancer through The Sunshine Kids,” said Samantha Bendigo, event coordinator and REALTOR® with Prudential PenFed Realty’s Gainesville office.
The event will feature a 5K race with medals provided to the top finishing competitors. Walkers are most certainly welcome to register and participate in the race. Potomac River Running is providing race bibs for the timed (non chip) race, and snacks will be provided for competitors after the race. This family friendly event will also feature a fire truck pull, silent auction, and the Doggie [costume] Parade. As in years past, DJ Alvin Jones will be present at the event to provide music and his announcer services. The sound system and deejay services are being sponsored by Dan Gartrell of HomeStar Inspection Services, Inc.
