Psyquel Offers Clients New Portal Features This Spring
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) March 20, 2015 -- Mental health billing services company Psyquel is planning on providing its clients with a new feature intended to increase efficiency as well as to keep them up to speed with industry trends.
The Texan software company founded in 1997 specializes in psychology, and has clients throughout the country. Under this new feature, patients will be able to fill out their personal information on an online portal rather than in the doctor's office, saving them, and the office, considerable time. Patients can provide information on anything from allergies and family history to surgical history and current medications directly on the provider's website. In turn, the provider will receive an email notifying it that a new patient would like to be seen, after which the provider can contact the patient directly through email or telephone.
This new feature comes at no additional cost to the provider or patient. Patients also have the option of scheduling their own appointments. It is slated to be released to clients next month.
"The advantage of this new feature is that the provider gets a message saying they have a new patient who is ready to have an appointment -- all for no additional cost," said Jim Malcolm, Psyquel's sales manager.
Psyquel offers both software-exclusive services as well as full service options to their clients. The software-based service includes patient scheduling features, demographics information, clinical notes, EHR, and medical reports. The full-service options include these features as well as back office support like insurance verification, follow-ups, and billing information.
Psyquel specifies that current patients will not have to fill out the new online form, given that their system already has the information. The feature was the result of many requests from Psyquel's clients to provide this service.
"Anything we can do to eliminate another task in the office will streamline and help offices stay organized and will allow them to do less work in less time," Malcolm said.
