Public Demand for Novus Medical Detox Expansion Drives New Executive Posting
New Port Richey, FL (PRWEB) December 23, 2015 -- Novus Medical Detox Center, best known for its high success rate in drug withdrawal and for putting the dignity and humanity back into drug detoxification, has been under pressure to bring its technology to more communities and states due to the growing epidemic of prescription drug abuse.
Kent Runyon, Novus’ Executive Director, will take on the Chief Strategy and Compliance Officer role to assist with strategic initiatives aimed at helping to reduce the devastating social impact of the prescription drug abuse “silent epidemic” throughout a broad portion of Florida and other states across the nation.
Under the compliance portion of the role, Kent will ensure that all Novus facilities are in accord with all company policies and procedures, laws and regulatory agencies, Joint Commission accreditation standards, as well as Novus’ rigorous standards of conduct.
Runyon admitted that good detox programs are direly needed throughout society. “We continue to hear from patients and professionals that the unique approach to medical detox services offered by Novus are needed everywhere. We’re known to make a difference wherever our services are offered.”
He added that Novus “is unwilling to sacrifice anything with regard to the quality of care that has come to be associated with the Novus brand. This is why my new position is so important as we expand.”
Runyon came to Novus three years ago after working for 20 years in the not-for-profit sector. He said that working for a mission-focused organization was important for him, and he sees Novus as a for-profit organization with a not-for-profit heart. He states that his goal is to ensure that as Novus grows in capacity, its pursuit of excellence remains unhindered.
According to Runyon, Novus has set extremely high standards for getting results, and consequently has become widely known for changing lives for the better. Because of this, Novus works relentlessly to maintain equally high standards in staff qualifications and facilities, as well as continuously staying ahead of the technology curve on detoxification. He notes that there are no small decisions in this business—people’s lives depend upon such decisions.
The strong management team which Kent has put together at the New Port Richey center will act as the foundation model upon which new Novus centers will be based.
Runyon is emphatic about his purpose. “To get out of bed each day and know that you’re going to be part of a team that is literally changing lives—and, in many instances, saving them—this is why I want to expand our operation.”
