Public Entity Risk Manager Marcus Beverly Joins Alliant Insurance Services as Vice President

Beverly will work closely with Alliant’s extensive roster of public entity clients to develop risk management programs that reduce claims and yield significant cost savings.
With 25 years of experience in claims, risk management, and insurance, Beverly specializes in serving joint powers authority (JPA) risk pools and has worked with a breadth of public entities, including cities, counties, school districts, and special districts.

Beverly will be sharing his public entity risk management expertise as a presenter on June 10 at the 2014 Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) Conference in Long Beach, CA. His presentation, entitled “Choosing Your SIR – It’s More Than a Number,” will evaluate the quantitative and emotional criteria involved in selecting a self-insured retention (SIR) and will include financial benchmarks, case studies, and interactive workshops.
Beverly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and Bachelor of Arts in industrial psychology from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. He is a former Vice President of the Public Agency Risk Managers Association (PARMA) and a highly regarded conference speaker throughout the industry.
He will be based in the Sacramento, CA office of Alliant.
