Public Invited to Attend Live Webcast of Vectra Bank 22nd Annual Economic Forecast Update February 4
Denver, CO (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 -- Economic experts are in agreement that Colorado’s economy is in full expansion mode. At Vectra Bank’s 22nd annual Economic Forecast Update, the public will be invited to participate from home through a live webcast, as Henry Sobanet, Colorado’s Director of the Office of State Planning & Budgeting, and Elizabeth Garner, Demographer, State of Colorado; economist Patricia Silverstein, break down the state’s 2015 forecast, business growth, fiscal health, and economic development in detail.

As Director of the Office of State Planning & Budgeting, Sobanet is responsible for the budget forecasting of the State’s revenues and budget planning. Before joining the Governor’s office, Sobanet was President of Colorado Strategies LLC, a firm that specialized in economics, public affairs and strategic management. He earlier worked at the Governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting in 1999 as Deputy Director and again in 2004. Notably, in 2006, Sobanet helped develop and negotiate an innovative plan to address the State’s pension shortfall.
Elizabeth Garner is the State Demographer and joined the Colorado Department of Local Affairs in 2004. The State Demography Office produces population and economic estimates and forecast for use by state agencies and local governments. Current areas of research include aging in Colorado, characteristics of migration, and poverty. Elizabeth is an economist by training and prior to working with the state she worked for 10 years with CSU Cooperative Extension managing a data center and producing economic and demographic impact reports.
Patricia Silverstein, President of Development Research Partners, a Jefferson County, Colorado-based real estate analysis and economic development research company. Her expertise is in economic research and economic development, including industry cluster studies and strategic economic development planning.
