Public Service Credit Union Hosts Contest at Rocky Mountain Showdown 2017
Lone Tree, CO (PRWEB) September 19, 2017 -- Public Service Credit Union (PSCU), the Official Credit Union of the Rocky Mountain showdown, hosted a pass, punt, and kick contest during this year’s game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
Two contestants, David S. from Alamosa and Wesley G. from Thornton, attempted to pass, punt, and kick across the field for a chance to win $25,000. While neither one made the $25,000 final field goal, both went home winners with a $1,000 PSCU Certificate of Deposit (CD).
“We’re proud to be a sponsor of the Showdown and happy to reward the efforts of these two contestants,” said Todd Marksberry, PSCU President & Chief Executive Officer. “We are a part of the Colorado communities we serve, and strive to help people afford life.”
It is the second year that the Colorado credit union has sponsored the annual battle between in-state football rivals, Colorado State University (CSU Rams) and University of Colorado (CU Buffaloes). While CU won 17-3 in a game that brought fans to their feet on multiple occasions, the atmosphere was the truly winning moment. More than 73,000 fans filled Sports Authority Field at Mile High to cheer for Colorado!
In addition to sponsoring the annual event, PSCU fueled some college spirit with a #RockTheShowdown social media photo contest for CSU and CU fans to win free tickets to the Showdown. Ten lucky fans won two tickets, each, selected by online voters. Check out the #RockTheShowdown winning photos or visit facebook.com/pscucolorado.
