Pure Barre Raises More than $50,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention
Spartanburg, SC (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- Pure Barre, the largest, most established Barre franchise in the nation, honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year by raising over $50,000 to donate to Bright Pink, a non-profit organization that focuses on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women, while providing support for high-risk individuals.
Through combined efforts across the country, Pure Barre franchises helped contribute to Bright Pink by hosting donation-only “Pure Give” classes, allowing women to lift, tone and burn while supporting a meaningful cause.
Customers were also able to purchase a pair of limited edition pink Pure Barre sticky socks with 100% of all profits benefiting Bright Pink to fuel their life-saving education and support programing.
“At Pure Barre, we believe in giving back. It was great to see the Pure Barre family across the country come together to support such a great cause,” said Sloan Evans, Pure Barre’s Chief Executive Officer.
At Pure Barre, women share a sense of community, in which they are inspired and empowered by each other’s fitness and lifestyle goals. In partnership with Bright Pink, Pure Barre was able to successfully contribute to the worthwhile mission of encouraging young women to be proactive about their breast and ovarian health.
