Puyallup RV Show Celebrates 43 Years Presenting Popular Options for RV Adventures & Leisure Opportunities
Puyallup, WA (PRWEB) April 27, 2017 -- One of the premier recreational vehicle events in the Northwest is preparing for their 43rd anniversary! The Puyallup RV Show covers a gigantuous 20 acres indoors and outside at the fairgrounds. This year’s event will have a Western theme complete with a Used RV Corral, Western Treasure Hunt for the kids and Buckaroo pony and horse rides. WSECU is the presenting sponsor for the sixth consecutive year and will be on-site offering RV financing.
RV purchases are at a 40-year high. Record numbers of Americans are buying RVs and “second homes”, either on-wheels or not, to pursue more leisure options as the economy continues to rebound. “The Puyallup RV Show is terrific because it’s a great venue. We’re able to present everything from tent and travel trailers to fifth wheels and toy haulers to rolling mansion motor homes and vacation homes that you can put on a lake”, says Dave Helgeson, MHRV show director. “There’s no question people will discover something that will spark any leisure dream they might have. We’re seeing record crowds at our shows and surprisingly, the majority of them are first-time attendees!”
Sixteen local dealers will display all of the latest new RV models. This event will also include on-site manufactured homes—great choices for your vacation home on the lake, an affordable retirement home or just your home base for RV adventures. For those looking for something a little more affordable, the show will have a “Used RV Corral”, loaded with pre-owned RVs.
The show includes a full line-up of seminars. Gary Bunzer, “The RV Doctor”, will be presenting several presentations including “RV Basics” and “Photovoltaics (Solar Energy) and RVs”. MHRV Show Director, Dave Helgeson, will be conducting his very popular Boondocking presentation. There’s a Hitching Demonstration to show people how equalizing hitches work. Torklift will be offering a myriad of seminars on towing. Attendees can learn more about the technical side of RVing from winterizing to water heaters. Everyone can get answers to all of their technical questions at the “Ask the Tech” presentation. On Thursday, May 4th (Manufactured Housing Day), there will be a Q & A forum to learn all about manufactured housing.
One dollar from every non-discounted adult and senior ticket sold at the box office will be donated to Washington State Parks. WSECU is joining in with a matching dollar-for-dollar donation as well!
Attendees will be encouraged to enter to win a brand new, Winnebago Drop Travel Trailer valued at $23,000.
To add to the fun, children 12 and under are invited to search the show for six hidden strong boxes filled with loot! For children of all ages—big and small, there are complimentary “Buckaroo Rides” (Pony Rides) on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4pm. On Thursday and Friday, the first 500 people through the gate will receive vouchers for a free Fisher scone.
Attendees are encouraged to download the Show App to help them navigate the grounds and give them updated information about the show.
The mission of the the Puyallup RV Show, as well as all MHRV events, is to promote the RV lifestyle, “Creating Lifetime Memories” with family and friends.
Parking is free in the blue parking lot at the Puyallup RV Show and attendees can save two dollars when they buy their tickets online at PuyallupRVShow.com. Opening day, Thursday, May 4th, is “Manufactured Housing Day”, sponsored by Palm Harbor Homes, DeTray's Custom Housing, Lakeview Meadows, Skyline Homes and DeTray's LLC. Attendees will receive an additional dollar off admission ($3 total) when they purchase adult or senior tickets online for that day.
Show hours are 11am-8pm Thursday and Friday; 10am-8pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday.
