QCA Completes 15th Annual Entrepreneur Boot Camp
Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- More than 100 entrepreneurs, angel investors, mentors, and business experts from across the region assembled in Cincinnati for the 15th Annual Queen City Angels Entrepreneur Boot Camp June 3-4, 2015. The intensive two-day workshop was created in 2001 for early stage growth companies and future entrepreneurs. The event has evolved and adapted to changing times. This year’s session had an increased emphasis on lean methodologies. In addition to a full agenda of educational sessions and panel discussions, entrepreneurs and start-up founders had the opportunity to meet one-on-one (in some cases one-on-three) with local angel investors and business experts for advice and mentoring. The event was conducted at Interact for Health, and HCDC Business Center and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation were Marquis and Event sponsors, respectively.
Among the sessions and panel were the following:
• Building a Business Plan that Attracts Investors;
• Using Intellectual Property;
• The Lean Startup – Perfecting the Pivot;
• Social Media on a Dime; and
• Building Your Internal and External Teams
Scheduled panelists and presenters included Tony Shipley, chair of Queen City Angels; Mark Dawes, Queen City Angel investor and partner in an innovation venturing firm called Brand Journey Group; Dov Rosenberg, Allos Ventures; Justin Thompson, CincyTech; Amanda Greenwell, UpTech; Jordan Vogel, Cintrifuse; Dan Fleming, River Cities Capital Fund; and Tony Alexander, The Brandery.
