Quadshot Software LLC announces new Extensions for OpenTickets Community Edition
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- Las Vegas-based Quadshot Software LLC is proud to announce new Extensions for the fast-growing OpenTickets Community Edition ticket sales platform (“Community”). OpenTickets growth is largely due to the popular “No Service Fees. Ever.” policy. Community is built on WordPress and WooCommerce, the most popular CMS and eCommerce platform in the world. Community is available as a free download at http://wordpress.org/plugins/opentickets-community-edition.
The four new extensions enable Community users to have more control and customization over their events, including reserved seating charts, a virtual box office, multi-price options, and coupon options for attendees. The functionality in these new Extensions was previously only available for OpenTickets Enterprise Edition customers.
The ‘Seating’ Extension puts the creation and management of reserved seating charts in the hands of the customer. Quadshot founder and CEO Michael Cremean said, “We made this new Seating Extension as easy as possible for people who run OpenTickets. Through innovations that save time – like automation of labeling and numbering as well as seat replication – creating complex charts is now easy.” The new Seating extension reduced the time to create a new chart from 1 hour to 10 minutes for one user.
The new ‘Box Office’ Extension turns a Community user’s computer into a Virtual Box Office. Community users can now sell tickets on the phone or in person using their own WordPress administration back-end site to sell tickets to their customers via credit cards, cash, or checks. The ‘Box Office’ Extension uses the same payment gateway a customer uses on the front-end of a website, so no special gateway is required.
The ‘Multi-price’ Extension can be used for General Admission tickets, which are already available in Community. For those that do not need Reserved Seating, this allows different price tiers for tickets. Some theaters have different prices for Adults, Children, and Seniors. Others may have one price structure for matinee events and a different structure for weekends or evenings. With ‘Multi-price,’ users can create reusable pricing structures to make their events even easier to run.
‘Coupons’ extends the WooCommerce coupon system to allow customers to create various Flex Passes, Season Passes, and Special Discounts. These customizable Passes and Discounts can be applied to one, some, or all events. ‘Coupons’ enables venues to execute marketing plans that could include 2-for-1 specials for undersold shows, discounted ‘Family Passes,’ or other marketing requirements using the flexible options.
All of the Community Extensions may be purchased ‘a la carte.’ A series of training videos are available at http://opentickets.com/videos. Cremean added “We wanted our Community Edition customers to have the opportunity to choose the functionality they need”
