Qualidigm Awarded National Training Contract for Post-Acute Care Setting
Wethersfield, Conn. (PRWEB) December 01, 2015 -- Qualidigm, the mission-driven national healthcare consulting company in Wethersfield, Conn., is part of team that was recently awarded a contract by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to develop and implement ongoing training for healthcare providers in post-acute care settings. Led by prime contractor Econometrica, Inc., a research and management organization based in Bethesda, MD., the four year contract is in support of the patient assessment data reporting requirements under the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act of 2014 (IMPACT Act).
The IMPACT Act requires long-term care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and hospices to report standardized patient assessment data and capture patient preferences and goals. Due to this new reporting requirement, healthcare providers will need to receive training on data collection practices and data submission accuracy. Qualidigm, in partnership with Econometrica, Inc. and subcontractors Abt Associates and Hendall, Inc., will assess healthcare provider training needs, develop training materials and deliver face-to-face interactive training programs to healthcare providers and stakeholders across the United States.

All training programs under the post-acute care training contract will incorporate a “train the trainer” approach, and leverage best practices in adult learning principles to ensure the needs of the participants are addressed. As part of the training, post-acute healthcare providers will develop an action plan for change to clearly understand what processes need to be modified or enhanced within their organization to meet these new assessment data criteria.
