Quantum Spatial to Highlight Remote Sensing Technology at DistribuTECH
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (PRWEB) January 19, 2018 -- Quantum Spatial, Inc.(QSI), the nation’s largest independent geospatial data firm, today announced that Matt Nugent, product manager at QSI, will be one of the featured presenters at the annual DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition, taking place January 23-25 in San Antonio. In addition to presenting at the conference, QSI will showcase its solutions for asset and vegetation management, and debut a new robotic platform designed to monitor conditions in the substation environment.
“Utilities face numerous challenges as they work to ensure their infrastructure remains operational,” said Anand Iyer, senior vice president of Products & Marketing at QSI. “At DistribuTECH, we will share our experience in using remotely sensed analytics and decision support tools to help utilities gain visibility into the condition of their assets, assess risk and transform their inspection and maintenance processes.”
WHAT: DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition, A leading annual electric power transmission and distribution conference
WHEN: January 23-25, 2018
WHERE: Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio
DETAILS: Transforming Inspection Rotations and Maintenance Using Spatial Work and Asset Management Solutions; The Journey from Paper to Digital Processes
Geospatial Track: Room 210B
January 23 – 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
QSI Product Manager Matt Nugent and Troy Bess, a Transmission Lines Construction team leader for Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company (LG&E and KU), will discuss how the utility eliminated time-consuming, manual processes with QSI's inSITE platform.
inSITE is a mapping analytics platform that provides real-time visibility into transmission asset activity and serves as a central repository for all spatial data. In addition, the inSITE browser-based app provides supervisors planning tools for cycle-based inspection programs, real-time reporting on construction forecasts and activity, and a work management suite.
QSI Booth #2570
QSI will demonstrate its leading geospatial analytics solutions for asset and vegetation management, that help utilities continue delivering safe and reliable electric service.
QSI also will provide a sneak peek at its Autonomous Roving Inspection System (ARIS), which will integrate a robotic platform and remote sensing equipment to help utility companies identify problems occurring in the substation environment. The robotic platform will be equipped with a suite of spectral, thermal and LiDAR sensors, and a precision navigation system with hazard cameras that enable it to autonomously perform fine-scale mapping and acquire remotely sensed data.
