Queen Creek Cafe Declared Family Dining Champions by Western States Wrestling President
Queen Creek, Arizona (PRWEB) October 30, 2016 -- How does a food-loving professional wrestling promoter show his love for his favorite dining establishment? By awarding them a championship belt, of course!
That is exactly what Western States Wrestling president Tim Hicks did when he presented a custom, hand-made championship belt to Larry and Debbie Hoel, owners of the Queen Creek Cafe.
The gold and silver belt proclaiming that the Queen Creek Cafe is the "Family Dining Champion" was crafted in the United Kingdom by Peter Ellis of Leather Rebels - official championship belt maker for the National Wrestling Alliance and an official belt maker for World Wrestling Entertainment.
When asked why he would present a belt to a restaurant, Hicks said, "This place is more than a restaurant to me. It's a place where I can always feel relaxed and welcome. My late wife and I used to come here together at least once a week. When she passed away, everyone here was terrific. These folks are like family."
The Queen Creek Cafe has been a QC institution for nearly twenty years. The Hoels bought the restaurant about seven years ago. Since then, they've made many great improvements, both in decor and in the menu.
"The fried chicken is amazing," Hicks added. "Of course, I like everything on the menu."
Debbie Hoel added, "Many people think of us as just a sports lounge. It's nice to be recognized as a family dining restaurant too."
The restaurant, open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. is located at 22002 S. Ellsworth Road in Queen Creek.
Western States Wrestling, Arizona's premiere wrestling promotion, runs events regularly at the Arizona Event Center, 1300 S. Country Club Drive in Mesa. The next WSW Event is set for December 16.
Tim Hicks concluded his remarks by saying, "Western States Wrestling and the Queen Creek Cafe have one important thing in common: we both believe in giving our customers our very best!"
