Questions About Microneedling Regulations in California? AmSpa Medical Spa Boot Camp in San Jose, CA to Hold Q&A Led by California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 01, 2016 -- Due to recent confusion and concern about who can perform microneedling and dermaplaning in California medical spas, The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) is honored to welcome California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology representatives Kristy Underwood and Tami Guess to its upcoming Medical Spa Boot Camp in San Jose, CA, on September 19-20. Underwood and Guess are slated for a short presentation and Q&A session on Day 2 of the boot camp, providing information about California’s state laws and regulations affecting medical spa professionals, with a focus on microneedling and dermaplaning.
“The rules regarding microneedling and dermaplaning are often misunderstood,” says Alex Thiersch, founder and director of AmSpa. “We are thrilled to have representatives from the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology at our bootcamp to help explain the nuances of the regulations.”
“We are so happy to be involved in this event,” said Kristy Underwood, executive director of the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. “We hope to be able to answer any and all questions regarding the regulation of aesthetics and how this impacts medical spas in California.”
