Questlove Performs Curated DJ Set At New Yorkers for Seeds Fundraiser for Seeds of Africa
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 11, 2015 -- On Tuesday, December 8th, Questlove, founding member of musical group The Roots and Musical Director for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, supported the Seeds of Africa Foundation at its annual New Yorkers for Seeds fundraiser by performing curated DJ set list of Prince, Michael Jackson, Blondie and more. Guests celebrated the evening with signature cocktail recipes courtesy of Owl’s Brew, Tito’s Vodka and Four Roses bourbon while also dancing to the sounds of DJ MOMA.

The event celebrated the organization’s mission to educate and nurture children and their families by providing quality education and community development programs in Adama, Ethiopia with The Dream School Campaign. The Dream School Campaign launched in October 2014 and has, so far, raised $1.3 million of its total $2.2 Million goal to fund the creation of an Ethiopian Academy and community center to serve up to 600 students, their families and the Adama community at large. It will meet the most rigorous international academic standards and prepare its students to succeed in high school, college and beyond.
