RacingJunk.com Partners with Artie's Party on '64 Pontiac Giveaway at 2018 Syracuse Nationals
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (PRWEB) March 05, 2018 -- The Artie’s Party Charity Panel Jam pinstriper auction is always a highlight of the Right Coast Association’s PPG Syracuse Nationals Auto Show, held every year at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Central New York Ronald McDonald House Charities. Show attendees have a chance to bid on everything from original panels and nostalgia artifacts striped and customized by the volunteer artists to seat time in the Frantic Ford funny car. In 2017, Artie’s Party raised $66,000 for the charity.
Inspired by this celebratory spirit of giving, George Munsterman of First Class Productions donated a 1964 Pontiac Safari Wagon to Artie’s Party founder, Art Schilling, to be customized by from the inside out by Artie’s nationwide network of builders, mechanics and artists. The vehicle, now dubbed the Artie’s Party Cruiser, will be the star of First Class Productions’ vehicle auction at the Syracuse Nationals, with money from the sale also going towards the total for the Ronald McDonald House.
The Pontiac has quickly become come a rallying point for local and national companies, manufacturers and hot rod enthusiasts. As an all-volunteer operation, the Pontiac build is a true labor of love, representing the ethos of generosity and support that defines the enthusiast community. Joe Quitoni of Joe Que’s Auto Body is coordinating the build, which includes chassis components and a disc brake conversion from Ames Performance, new springs from Detroit Spring, a motor built by Jasper Engines with a transmission from Joe Pirrone. Gillian’s Upholstery is handling the refurbishing of the interior, turning this Pontiac into a surfing Safari by upholstering the seats and interior with the Pendleton plaid wool fabric made famous by the Beach Boys.
"I am amazed how so many people and companies stepped up to make this possible. I can't thank them enough," says Schilling. RacingJunk.com, the world’s number one race and performance classifieds, is also working with the Artie’s Party Cruiser builders, connecting the project leaders with RJ partners, including Steele Rubber Products, who is supplying the rubber trim, and DMC Racing, who is supplying the driveshaft.
