Radaee Studios and GEAR.it release the PDFViewer SDK for iOS devices
Reggio Emilia, Italy (PRWEB UK) 31 July 2013 -- GEAR.it s.r.l., an Italian mobile developer and integrator, and Radaee Studios, a fast growing start-up from China, released their well-known PDFViewer SDK for the iOS platform. The collaboration between GEAR.it and Radaee Studios began one year ago and led to the production of one of the best PDF rendering and manipulation tools available for Android and iOS developers. The iOS version of SDK is fully aligned to the Android version and brings the developers a full tool set that enables them to:
• Render PDFs in single or double pages
• Handle built-in gesture support
• Fast draw thumbnails
• Index PDFs
• Read multimedia annotation
• Take handwritten annotation
• Create layering, text searches, text extraction, text selection, text highlighting, and form support
• Create PDF files and pages
• Allow encrypted PDF support both during reading and writing
• And more…
The first public version of the iOS tool was released in April, with the library maturing within the past three months. Actual libraries run flawlessly on iOS 4.3 and all newer versions, and on Android 2.2 to 4.2.
GEAR.it and Radaee will soon provide a new Windows 8/RT support (now in beta) and support to third party development tools like Appcelerator Titanium and Basic4Android. GEAR.it plans to launch the PDFViewer SDK for Windows 8 and RT within the next few months. The native C++ library has been ported to the Microsoft operating system, and Radaee Studios is finalizing the high level C# wrapper.
Dario Finardi, sales and new product manager at GEAR.it, states, “The collaboration with people at Radaee Studios is great and quickly led our teams to gain a relevant place in the mobile development tools and library market. Our targeted market was small and medium software development companies but we quickly moved to also offer licenses and services to big companies and enterprises.”
The PDFViewer SDK is available for licensing directly at the AndroidPDF.mobi website. The SDK is downloadable for free after registration. The demo project and comprehensive documentation will allow programmers to get a complete reader within minutes.
All developers, including those without a commercial license, can find support through the AndroidPDF.mobi forum. The main website http://www.androidpdf.mobi/ provides an affordable price list, aggressive licensing, product information, a code sample, and the full-featured PDFViewer SDK.
