Radiology Business Management Association Launches Weekly Legislative and Policy Newsletter
Fairfax, VA (PRWEB) April 27, 2015 -- The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA), an industry leader in providing members with applied business information and intelligence, is proud to announce the launch of “RBMA Washington Insider,” a weekly email newsletter for its more than 2,000 members.
“RBMA Washington Insider” is different from existing health care legislative news sources in that it is exclusively devoted to national health policy developments relevant to the business of radiology. The newsletter is produced in cooperation with Thorn Run Partners — a a recognized leader among the next generation of Washington, D.C., government affairs firms.
“More information and resources for following legislative news is something our members have consistently asked for,” says Michael R. Mabry, RBMA’s Executive Director. “We are excited to begin offering this completely electronic publication free of charge to our members and the public.”
Each weekly issue includes updates on federal legislation that impacts radiology, as well as:
- The latest developments in policy and rule making from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
- Activities of Congress
- Federal healthcare budgeting
- Notable healthcare fraud enforcement activities of the HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG)
- Reports to Congress by entities such as the independent Medicare Payment Advisory Committee (MedPAC) and the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)
Each newsletter also ends with a list of important legislative and regulatory meetings and webinars curated to reflect the unique interests of RBMA members. Contact information is provided for each event to make registering to attend them a simple task.
“RBMA Washington Insider” is emailed on Mondays to RBMA members and is then posted for the public on the RBMA’s website at http://www.rbma.org/RBMA_Washington_Insider/. It compliments the RBMA’s already existing advocacy information including its comment letters, webinars, conference presentations and “e-Alerts” emails, which keep RBMA members informed of late-breaking news of a regulatory or congressional nature.
The Radiology Business Management Association is a national not-for-profit association providing members with applied business information and intelligence applicable in any radiology setting. The RBMA has approximately 2,300 members involved in various management capacities in private practices, academic radiology groups, imaging centers and hospitals. The RBMA continues to be recognized as the leader for radiology-specific educational programs, products and services, publications and data.
