Radius Networks Deploys iBeacon-Enabled Promotional Scavenger Hunt For HP Discover 2014 Conference
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Radius Networks, Inc., the leading provider of mobile proximity services, today announced that it has developed a promotional iBeacon-based scavenger hunt mobile game for the HP Discover 2014 conference in Las Vegas on June 10 to 12. The scavenger hunt leverages HP Vertica Community Edition and HP Helion Public Cloud services.
RadBeacon proximity beacons with iBeacon technology are short range, Bluetooth Smart transmitters that can notify mobile devices when they come within 100 feet of the beacon. This micro-location proximity awareness can be leveraged to deliver a wide range of innovative solutions, such as precision indoor navigation, automatic ticketing, guided museum tours and location-relevant offers and promotions.
HP Discover 2014 attendees that download the HP Helion Scavenger Hunt mobile app on iOS or Android will be encouraged to explore all areas of the show and will collect badges for each RadBeacon they encounter. Players that collect all of the available badges will be rewarded with a special prize from HP. This will be a fun and novel way to introduce attendees to the iBeacon technology and encourage participants to visit important exhibits throughout the conference floor.
“This is another great example of how proximity and iBeacon technology can enhance user experience and drive new and innovative solutions in the mobility marketplace,” said Marc Wallace, CEO and Co-Founder at Radius Networks. “HP Discover is a premier technology event where thousands of IT professionals gather to learn, connect, and see the latest advancements in Cloud, Big Data, Security and Mobility. We are very excited to be a part of it, and we are also excited to be working with the HP Vertica and HP Helion Public Cloud technology and teams.”
