Radius Networks Welcomes Purple Deck Media to Expanding Solutions Partner Program
Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Radius Networks, Inc., the leading provider of mobile proximity services, today announced that Purple Deck Media has joined it’s expanding solutions partner program and will integrate Radius Networks Proximity Kit iBeacon and geofence proximity services as a core feature set with Purple Deck’s cloud-based mobile application creation, management, and analysis capabilities.
iBeacons are short range, Bluetooth Low Energy transmitters that can notify mobile devices when they come within 100 feet of the beacon. Geofences are virtual perimeters over geographical areas that are detected by GPS-enabled mobile devices. Mobile applications that leverage these proximity technologies can deliver a wide range of new innovative solutions, such as enhanced navigation, automatic ticketing, guided museum tours and location-relevant offers and promotions.
Bonanza Extravaganza, a charity fundraising event in Hagerstown, Maryland, is a Purple Deck Media client that plans to leverage iBeacon proximity technologies to attract and engage more than 15,000 attendees. Planned for the event is a mobile digital scavenger hunt as well as other vendor related promotions, where attendees are eligible to win a total of up to $825,000 in prizes.
