Raleigh Medical Group Practices Partner with PMG Research to Advance Health Locally and Globally
(PRWEB) July 13, 2015 -- Raleigh Medical Group and PMG Research announced today the donation of 686 vaccines to children in developing nations through their partnership with the Greater Gift Initiative. The practices of Cary Medical Group and Raleigh Medical Group (divisions of Raleigh Medical Group, PA) partner with PMG Research to provide their patients and communities with the unique opportunity to participate in clinical research. Due to a number of factors, including regulatory requirements by the FDA, the clinical trial process is extremely lengthy and a new drug can spend over eight years in clinical trials before becoming available to the public. Therefore, clinical trial volunteers can be left without the immediate knowledge that they have made a difference. Because of this, the Greater Gift Initiative (GGI) was established in 2010. GGI recognizes and thanks clinical trial volunteers by donating a vaccine to a child in need to honor their participation in a clinical trial.

Through GGI and PMG Research, Cary Medical Group and Raleigh Medical Group donated 686 vaccines in 2014 to children in need worldwide. Their 686 clinical trial participants made an immediate difference in these children’s lives and have contributed to the greater good of helping others while advancing medicine through the gift of their participation in clinical research.
