Rams Hill Welcomes Chef Jeremy Manley from Jeremy’s on the Hill in Julian, California as Executive Chef
Borrego Springs, CA (PRWEB) September 05, 2017 -- Rams Hill Golf Club, rated in 2016 as the #1 course in the U.S. by Golf Advisor, welcomes Jeremy Manley from Julian, California as its new Executive Chef.
Jeremy is an accomplished chef who started building his skills at the age of 10. He continued to develop his craft following his natural sense of creativity and artistic ability. Just three years later at the remarkable age of 13, young Chef Jeremy was catering events and weddings for up to 250 guests. By the age of 21, in 2007, he opened his first restaurant, “Jeremy’s on the Hill” – a popular California-Style Bistro located in beautiful Julian, California.
Chef Jeremy is a Cordon Bleu graduate and continues his education at every turn. In July 2016, he attended the Edible School Yard Program in Berkeley, California. Alice Waters, who is one of California's pioneer Farm to Table chefs, spearheads the program with an amazing team. Chef Jeremy Manley recalls, “I was fortunate to have breakfast with Alice Waters after eating at her restaurant Chez Panisse the night before. I appreciate learning from the best.”
One of Chef Jeremy’s passion projects is a Farm to Table school lunch program for the Julian School District. Started in 2013, this project has expanded to include after school snacks and weekend packages for under-served families, feeding 180-200 kids a day. Rams Hill is proud to welcome this fine chef and community member to its team.
Chef Jeremy brings to Rams Hill the freshness of farm to fork in his menu design and meals. Along with keeping many current favorites, he will bring his own creative flare and attractive style while expanding the menu. Chef Jeremy commented, “I have a passion for the back country of San Diego County and the special atmosphere that the desert offers – even though it is located so close to San Diego and Palm Springs, it is a different and special place. The Rams Hill venue provides an unmatched location from which to enjoy a relaxed culinary journey. Rams Hill’s seasonal opening is Friday, November 3rd.
