Ramtech Receives Notice of Award from Melissa (TX) ISD for Permanent Modular Construction Project
Mansfield, TX (PRWEB) January 29, 2015 -- Design-build construction firm Ramtech Building Systems of Mansfield, Texas has announced that the Melissa (TX) ISD school board has approved a design-build agreement with the company to proceed with providing pre-construction services for a 9,400 square foot modular school classroom building that would be located in the middle school area of the district’s combined campus. The eight classroom facility would be built using the company's traditional wood-framed permanent modular construction approach. Ramtech would also be responsible for all site work and the extension and connection of the utilities. Current plans call for a full masonry exterior on a parapet wall design and roof mounted HVAC units. Manufacturing of the modular school buildings would begin in late May, with the project scheduled to be completed in the early Fall of 2015.
Located 35 miles northeast of Dallas, the city of Melissa is located in the area of Collin County that has one of the fastest-growing and dynamic areas of North Texas. Serving students primarily living within the city of Melissa, the Melissa Independent School District has seen explosive growth with enrollment increasing by over 200 students in the last six months. According to Gary White, Ramtech's VP of Sales, "Melissa ISD saw that our traditional permanent modular construction was the approach could provide them with the kind of facility they wanted quickly and within their budget."
