Rand Group – a Houston-based Technology Partner, Recognizes Long Time Manager who Received Two Toastmasters Awards in Her District
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- Rand Group Manager Laurie Jimenez was recognized at the Toastmasters District 56 Fall Conference 2013 with 2 different awards. She received both the District Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year 2012-2013 award, as well as receiving her official designation of Distinguished Toastmaster. These achievements also contributed to the Triple Crown Award, received by Ms. Jimenez.
The Distinguished Toastmaster Award is the highest honor bestowed by Toastmasters International, and recognizes both the leadership and communications skills of the individual. To obtain a Distinguished Toastmaster award, the member must first achieve both an Advanced Communicator Gold Award, and an Advanced Leader Silver Award. The Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year awards are given to members who demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm, dedication and help for others, and whose educational accomplishments and club service are exceptional. The individual Toastmaster is chosen by the District Steering Committee to recognize the individual who made the most significant contribution to the goals and missions of their district.
This was the second time Ms. Jimenez has been honoured for her involvement in the local business community in 2013, with the first being her appointment to the seat of President of the National Association of Women in Construction – Houston Chapter.
