Raoul Owens Signs with International Talent Manager, DCM, in Preparation for his 2015 Debut in the Pro Mazda Championship
(PRWEB UK) 30 January 2015 -- After 4 successful years of racing Formula Renault 2.0 across Europe, Raoul Owens has committed his future on the Road to Indy. Having completed 8 test days in the Pro Mazda car in the latter period of 2014, the British racer became the new pace setter for his new team, JDC MotorSports, at the Blackhawk Farms Raceway. The championship winning team has been impressed by Raoul’s quick familiarisation with the car and his ambitious targets for the upcoming season.
JDC team principal, John Church, has spoken fondly of his new signing: “We are very excited and happy to have Raoul drive for us in the 2015 season. The speed and professionalism he has shown us during testing has already indicated what he is capable of accomplishing. We expect Raoul to be a front runner and championship contender in 2015 Pro Mazda Championship.”
Raoul is keen to combine his professional career in motorsport with his passion for video gaming. Therefore, with the commercial guidance of his management, Raoul will be working with game developers during the year to promote himself and his sponsors to a wider audience.
Raoul stated “I am very excited to be working with JDC Motorsports in 2015. They have won three Pro Mazda Championships, two with European drivers which is very encouraging for me. It will be my first ever season racing in the USA so I want to take every opportunity I can. I also want to give both JDC and myself the best chance of taking a forth championship. The team and I both believe this is possible,” stated Owens.
As stated by his manager, Henry James, “Raoul is a great asset for innovative companies as he is hungry to support brands that are a daily part of his own lifestyle.” DCM’s manager of North America, Erik Haugen, adds that “we have a driver who has an exotic background and who will also attract new spectators to our sport from outside of the United States.”
