Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- RatnerPrestia is pleased to announce that Bruce Wieder has joined its Washington, D.C. office as Counsel and will be part of the firm’s Litigation group. Bruce has represented companies in patent infringement litigation in both trial and appellate courts for over 20 years. He also specializes in patent licensing and working with clients to develop effective strategies to protect intellectual property. He has extensive experience in a wide range of patent matters from software to healthcare devices to automotive systems.
Before joining RatnerPrestia, Bruce worked at two prominent firms in Virginia and Washington, D.C. He was also a law clerk to the Honorable S. Jay Plager at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He gained his technical experience as an engineer at Motorola, Inc. in their Microprocessor Design Group, his primary technical experience being circuit design. Bruce is also an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center teaching their Advanced Patent Law Seminar.
Bruce received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and earned both his M.B.A. and J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
